Yahoo Granted Over $ 1 Million In Attorney Fees Over Spammers, Infringers
NEW YORK – Just a month after Yahoo! Inc. won a $ 610 million default judgment against various foreign entities that perpetuated an online lottery hoax by sending almost 12 million spam email messages, a New York federal judge granted the Internet giant’s motion for costs and attorney fees totaling more than $ 1 million (Yahoo! Inc. v. XYZ Companies, et al., No. 08-4581, S.D. N.Y.).
