Weil and Andrews Kurth Quash Class Action by Stanford Investors Against Insurers

A Dallas federal judge has dismissed a purported class action brought by seven of R. Allen Stanford’s alleged Ponzi scheme victims against two insurance companies that worked with the accused fraudster, finding the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act of 1997 precluded plaintiffs’ claims.
