Magistrate Quashes Deposition Of Attorney In Directors And Officers Coverage Suit

GULFPORT, Miss. – A directors and officers insurer has not shown limited or unusual circumstances that would justify conducting the deposition of opposing counsel, a Mississippi federal magistrate judge found Jan. 17, granting motions to quash the notice of deposition in a lawsuit challenging coverage of an underlying lawsuit arising from an alleged kickback scheme involving the processing and marketing of steel coils (United States Liability Insurance Company v. Goldin Metals, Inc., et al., No. 1:10cv175-LG-RHW, S.D. Miss.; Southern Div.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 4881).
