Judge Refuses To Reopen Antitrust Challenge To National Tobacco Settlement
NEW YORK – A New York federal judge has refused to reconsider his dismissal of an antitrust challenge to the $ 200 billion national tobacco Master Settlement Agreement (MSA), saying Jan. 30 that newly discovered evidence was not new and in any case did not have any impact on the court’s finding that the plaintiff did not have standing to challenge the MSA (Grand River Enterprises Six Nations Ltd. v. Troy King, et al., No. 02-5068, S.D. N.Y.).
