Judge Approves $ 13M Agreement For Cleanup Of Pennsylvania Superfund Site

PHILADELPHIA – A federal judge in Pennsylvania on Jan. 18 approved a consent decree in which CDS Investment Co., the owner of a Superfund site near Exton, Pa., agreed to reimburse the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency $ 13 million for response costs incurred in cleaning up contamination from volatile organic compounds at the property (United States of America v. CDS Investment Company, et al., No. 11-5696, E.D. Pa.).
