Harrisburg, Pa., Appeals Chapter 9 Dismissal; Mayor Opposes As ‘Untimely’
HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Harrisburg, Pa., City Council, which had its Chapter 9 bankruptcy petition dismissed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, on Dec. 12 filed a notice of appeal, which was immediately opposed by Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson (In Re: City of Harrisburg, Pa., No. 11-06938, Chapter 9, M.D. Pa. Bkcy.).
