H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu)
The outbreak of swine flu in the last year can be attributed to a
virus that began in Mexico in Spring 2009. Since then, it has
spread traveled to several other different countries and caused
widespread panic throughout America. Though this virus has similar
attributes to the common flu, it can be especially harmful to
expectant mothers for various reasons. Since the outbreak, a
vaccine has been developed to prevent the sickness, so it is
imperative for pregnant or soon-to-be-pregnant women to receive the
injection.
