Georgia Appeals Panel: Property Owner Not Responsible For Woman’s Bathroom Injury

ATLANTA – A Georgia Court of Appeals panel on Nov. 29 ruled that a trial court erred by denying summary judgment to a property owner named as the defendant in a personal injury case, concluding that the defendant did not have prior knowledge of a defective door hinge in a restroom at the plaintiff’s workplace (Watts & Colwell Builders Inc. v. Carol Martin, et al., No. A11A0958, Ga. App., 1st Div.; 2011 Ga. App. LEXIS 1067).
