Florida Federal Judge Vacates Judgment Based On ‘Mockery’ Of Justice System

MIAMI – A Florida federal judge on Dec. 1 vacated a $ 25,000 judgment for a woman’s estate in her discrimination and retaliation case against a former employer, finding that the plaintiffs’ failure to disclose the woman’s bankruptcy filing was “calculated to make a mockery of the judicial system” (Roberto Alvarez, et al. v. Royal Atlantic Developers, Inc., No. 07-21333, S.D. Fla.).
