Fen-Phen Parties Say 129 Claims Don’t Merit Resolution In Arbitration

PHILADELPHIA – Wyeth and class counsel have asked the Pennsylvania federal judge supervising the American Home Products national diet drug settlement to dismiss 129 pending appeals brought by claimants rejected by the trust that are currently in arbitration (In Re: Diet Drugs [Phentermine/Fenfluramine/Dexfenfluramine] Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1203, Sheila Brown, et al. v. American Home Products Corp., No. 99-20593, E.D. Pa.).
