Federal Judge: Insureds’ Suit Seeking Additional Flood Benefits Is Time-Barred

ABERDEEN, Miss. – A Mississippi couple’s lawsuit seeking additional supplemental federal flood benefits and compensatory and punitive damages is timed-barred, a Mississippi federal judge ruled Jan. 9, granting the insurer’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit arising from a flood that occurred three years ago (Walter R. Cole, et al. v. New Hampshire Insurance Co., No. 10-183, N.D. Miss.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 2513).
