Congressman Cohen Testifies on the Importance of the Justice Integrity Act
Congressman Steve Cohen testified before the House Crime Subcommittee on the need to pass legislation that he’s authored to examine racial disparities in the criminal justice system — HR 1412, the Justice Integrity Act.
The disparities in the criminal justice system is a result that minorities break the law at a high rate, causing the obvious result. This is not some huge bias, it is a result of the minorities themselves failing to simply obey the law.
