Wow! Tom Morello, Flea, Pete Yorn, Chris Cornell, Brad Wilk, Maynard James Keenan. When I first heard of this superstar line-up, I was sure that this CD was going to be awesome. I was duped like everyone else who bought this album. Axis of Justice (or so cleverly put by a previous reviewer as “Axis of Jackasses”) is really a bad album, even for a bunch of political liberal rockers. Serj and Tom really dropped the ball with this one. What could’ve been a festoon of awesomeness turned out to crap-fest of whiny musicians with an equally crappy message. Knowledge, The Night Watchmen, and Ahmed Ahmed are among the many reasons why this is so bad and incredibly difficult to listen to. The song,”Jeffrey, Are You Listenng?” is up there with other crappy songs like John Mayer’s “City Love” and Richard Harris’ “MaCarthur Park.” On top of all that, the communist entertainer known as Michael Moore adds his little nugget of wisdom on the DVD, which I can say I’ve become dumber now that I’ve listened to it. For the love of all good music, stay far away from this CD.

  • Great talent, great cause, horrible music. I can’t imagine how such talented musicians can put out such absolute garbage.

This was very ill organized and it was not good to watch or listen to. I really like Serj and all, but someone with me of Jamaican descent was offended when he heard Serj assume a Jamaican type accent for his Bob Marley cover of “Get up Stand up”. He found it somewhat racist and was offended by that. It seemed like a good cause would bring the better out of people, instead of covers, they might offer some of their own material, other than Serj.

i bought this on a whim at another retailer. i love these guys. flea, tom morello, serj tank-whatever, chris cornell and maynard, for goodness-sake!!! these guys are amazing musicians and the best in their respective bands. i don’t know how they put out such a terrible display of noise. it’s un-listenable. i wish the retailer had a sample for me to hear before i bought this. i would’ve reccommended that they instantly remove it from their shelves.

dont get me wrong, these guys’ hearts were in the right place, but the cd just CAN NOT be listened to. just pitful. absolutley abysmal.

run away screaming from this one. trust me.

  • Sorry Serj, but try as I might to enjoy this set . . . this sucks. At least it’s for a good cause, right?
