Accident on SF Golden Gate Bridge Causes Closure
According to the California Highway Patrol the Golden Gate Bridge
reopened at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday after a collision involving at least
four vehicles shut down all lanes. The collision
caused quite a traffic back up into San Francisco. CHP Sgt. Diana
McDermott stated the accident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. when a
big rig truck headed north rear-ended a Kia about 300 feet past the
toll plaza, causing the smaller vehicle to cross over into
