5th Circuit Affirms Ruling Compelling Arbitration Of Investment Dispute

NEW ORLEANS – The Fifth Circuit U.S Court of Appeals on Jan. 5 found that a district court did not err when it compelled arbitration in London of an investment dispute even though one party was not an American citizen, finding that the commercial relationship between the parties had a reasonable relationship to foreign states (S&T Oil Equipment & Machinery Ltd., et al. v. Juridica Investments Limited, et al., No. 11-20400, 5th Cir.; 2012 U.S. App. LEXIS 297).
